history
The only Château in Franciacorta
This winery is situated in Coccaglio, on Mont’Orfano, around 900 feet above sea level. The microclimate of this area and the vineyard’s position facing South, allows for a thorough ripening of the grapes. The soil is mainly calcareous, rich in rocks and pebbles. Castello Bonomi takes its name from the ‘19th century building designed by the architect Antonio Tagliaferri. The massive villa is located in the center of a garden within the vineyard borders.
