Poggio Petroso
The vineyard is situated between Gaiole and Castellina, precisely in the southwest of Radda in Chianti. Despite its young age, at Poggio Petroso, they are showing tremendous results. They proved themselves more than worthy of being part of the Black Rooster legacy.

Pursuit of balance
Poggio Petroso is located in Radda in Chianti, which once served as Chianti Classico’s capital and the Chianti League’s medieval capital. More precisely, the vineyard is situated in Colle Petroso, facing southwest. The soil here is composed of clayey schists with insertions of scaly clays alternating with alberese and limestone sandstones. The climate conditions of these hills have a significant temperature excursion, allowing the grapes to express their full aromatic potential. As a result, both the Chianti Classico and the Riserva show an outstanding balance.
